The
Vibrant World of Five Points Jazz Comes Alive as the 2nd Annual Jazz Roots
Series Returns to the Welton Street Corridor!

Held during Black
History Month, Jazz Roots in Five Points serves as a tribute to the enduring history and contributions
of the Black community, and its indelible impact on American history at-large.

The Five Points Business
Improvement District invites you to discover the vibrant world of jazz and its
historical significance to Five Points.
Over the course of the
two Saturdays of Jazz Roots in Five Points, The Queen City Jazz Band, The Wil Alston Band, The
Five Points Ambassadors, Taryn Newborne, and The Gabriel Mervine Trio with
Sweet B will all be performing live on the corridor.

In addition, there will
be live poetry readings, presentations about jazz music, interviews with jazz
musicians, an art exhibit, and educational opportunities to learn more about
jazz history and Black American history.
