Adults and teens are invited to spend an evening at home with award-winning novelist Kim Johnson on Friday, February 10, 6-7 pm via the Zoom platform.

Johnson’s novel This is My America explores racial injustice against innocent Black men who are criminally sentenced and the families who are left behind. Her writing accolades include the Pacific Northwest Book Award and Malka Penn Human Rights Award for Children’s Literature. 

In addition to being an author, Johnson is vice provost at the University of Oregon where she maintains engagement in various organizations while also mentoring Black student leaders. She holds degrees from the University of Oregon and the University of Maryland, College Park.
